Hell yes I'm on a horse.
Hell yes I'm in New Zealand.
Hell yes that is real snow.
Hell yes I managed to get my Xena costume past airport security.
Hell yes I managed to convince a horse stables that I wasn't too crazy to borrow a horse.
Hell yes I managed to stay on the horse... for a little while...
Hell yes this was a good day. A VERY good day indeed!

Do you know what makes this even geekier than the fact that I'm in rather small Xena costume in New Zealand on a horse just below the snow line?
We are riding in the shadow of Isengard... hell yes! If anyone wishes to contest my Queenship of Geekdom speak now or forever hold your peace ^-^

Everybody meet 'Fats' his real name in El Dorado but Fats just sorta worked ^-^

After these photos we went on a trail ride (out of costume thank god) and since Fats and I got along so well we decided to further our deep bond of friendship and test my skills at riding... Let's say my enthusiasm outweighed my skills... I fell off... twice... I truly believe my dear friend Fats just wanted me to practice my forward Xena front flip out of the saddle cos I managed to somersault out of the saddle every time we stopped cantering. Apparently I have very good falling technique! Whoo! My tail bone didn't agree at the time... Thank god I landed on the sand not the rocks...

This was one of the best holidays I have been on EVER!

are the bestest geeky travel buddies! We went skiing on both Coronet and the Remarkables (one of the LOTR shooting locations - WHOO!), Weta-workshoping, World of Wearable Art-ing, Onsen-ing, Horse-riding/fallingoff-ing and lots of other awesome in between. You guys are awesome and I love ya all!
